NAVORA SWARM — Offline Mesh Network & Peer Syncing Layer

Overview: NAVORA SWARM is the decentralized data layer that powers NAVORA’s offline capabilities. Using Bluetooth, WiFi Direct, and opportunistic device-to-device syncing, SWARM enables real-time group coordination, identity pulse transmission, route continuity, and emergency propagation even when there is no cellular or internet signal available.

Unlike centralized systems that fail when disconnected, NAVORA SWARM is a distributed, self-healing mesh logic framework. It supports critical NAVORA features including CONNECT, ID sync, SOS, and shared route logic in terrain where signal loss is common — oceans, forests, canyons, snow fields, or underground transit.

 

Offline Mesh Network Syncing (Bluetooth / WiFi Direct)

NAVORA SWARM uses:

  • Bluetooth LE: Fast, low-power proximity sync

  • WiFi Direct: Higher bandwidth, extended-range sync for large data packets (e.g., route logs, hazard overlays)

  • Delay-tolerant networking: Caches data for broadcast when devices reconnect or overlap

Sync priorities include:

  • User movement pulses and NAVORA ID verification

  • Route progress and deviation markers

  • Emergency beacons and responder routes

 

Decentralized Group Communication Logic

NAVORA SWARM includes a local consensus protocol to manage group data:

  • Peer-based synchronization avoids duplicate uploads

  • Weighted timestamp merging resolves conflicts in route or pulse trails

  • Voting/negotiation for route decisions can proceed offline

Communication is:

  • Authenticated via NAVORA ID handshake

  • Encrypted end-to-end for privacy and security

  • Bounded by proximity, but scalable with moving relays (i.e., “data mules” such as moving boats, skiers, or hikers)

Peer Caching for Live Routing in Dead Zones

NAVORA devices cache and rebroadcast key information:

  • Hazard updates shared between peers (e.g., “ice ahead,” “dock closed,” “trail blocked”)

  • Route trails including ETA, deviations, and POIs

  • CONNECT group pulses — ensures all users stay in sync even if temporarily disconnected

SWARM allows a single signal-enabled device to:

  • Bridge connectivity to others

  • Sync stored data for map/hazard updates

  • Act as a “mobile node” in dynamic terrain or crowd conditions

NAVORA can also assign role hierarchy in dense mesh:

  • Primary beacon (highest signal/gps accuracy)

  • Redundant relay node

  • Low-power passive listener
